Takes effect on each phone's next app start — the document is fetched once per launch and cached on the device, so a session already under way is not rewritten under the participant.
A cohort is a set of sessions. Which participant is in which cohort is on the Participants tab — it changes one person at a time, and putting it here would mean republishing this document (invalidating every phone's cache) to move somebody. Windows are the participant's own local time, and may not overlap inside a cohort. Up to eight sessions a day.
Reminders fire only while a session's window is open and outside the participant's quiet hours, which are set on the phone and not visible here. A session wholly inside the default 22:00–08:00 is flagged above.
A device with no assignment gets the default cohort — a phone that registered while nobody was looking must still be offered a day. Takes effect on that phone's next app start.
One row per attempt. Only a session that ran to the end counts as done —
an abandoned one keeps its reminders coming. This table is an index of the
protocol_run labels, so it can be rebuilt and losing it costs
no data.
